Turn on the journal’s passphrase lock and its key is derived on your device and never reaches us — not even we can read those entries. Photos on an entry, and everything else, are encrypted at rest; delete your account and the keys are destroyed at once, the files themselves within 30 days.

Turn on the journal’s passphrase lock and its key is derived on your device and never reaches us. Your Dynamics content is encrypted per-relationship with a key we can recover — deliberately, so an account can be dealt with in a legal or safety matter — and every single such access is written to a log you can read. Delete your account and every encrypted field is crypto-shredded on the spot: unreadable forever, even in backups. Your uploaded files are deleted rather than shredded, within thirty days.
